Avignon is 20 kilometers far from Les Acanthes de Remoulins. City of the popes in the Middle Ages, Avignon has a rich heritage including the Palace of the Popes and the Bridge St Benezet known throughout the world thanks to the famous song (On the Pont d’Avignon).

Avignon is also famous for its theater festival which lasts all the month of July.

On the other side of the Rhone, Fort Saint André de Villeneuve overlooks Avignon while hiding its chartreuse.

While moving away from Avignon, you can taste the Côte du Rhone , Châteuneuf du Pape Wines or to eat the berlingots of Carpentras. You can go strolling at Isle sur Sorgue in front of the many antique shops or go to the fountain of Vaucluse to discover the resurgence of the Sorgue or its old paper factory.
